Disney’s Art of Animation Resort – Orlando

by eazynazy

Last week I had a pleasure of going to Orlando and staying at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort which is a Walt Disney World Value hotel with standard and family suites themed to Disney Animated films. It had The Lion King, Little Mermaid , Finding Nemo, and Cars themed Suites . We choose to stay at The Lion King suites as my little one loves Animals.

Resort Amenities:

  • Complimentary Airport Shuttle
  • Complimentary Shuttle to all Disney Parks and Resorts
  • Complimentory Area Shuttle
  • Themed Pools
  • Spacious Disney Themed Suites
  • Kids Play Area
  • Arcade/Game Room
  • Complimentory Parking
  • Laundry Facilites
  • Restuarant
  • Activities For Kids
  • Watch Disney Movies
  • Complimentory Internet
  • Business Center
  • Kitchenette
  • ATM/Banking

In addition to all of these amazing amenities and services, what I really loved about this resort is it’s design & decor. It has Disney’s most popular larger than life icons everywhere which made me feel like I was already in one of the theme parks. My stay at the Art of Animation was more than what I really expected and am really excited to share my experience with you all.

Magic Express :

It all started with the Magic Express. Magic Express is an Airport shuttle service which is available on request . It’s a complimentary transfer from the Orlando airport to the hotel. This service also picks up and delivers luggage directly to guestrooms for those arriving between 5 AM – 10 PM.

As soon as you enter , You will find a colorful Lobby with lots of beautiful Disney paintings. I must say that their Guest service is way beyond what I expected. They are available 24/7 for your service. If you are celebrating Birthdays, Anniversaries or any other special occasions then just let the front desk know about it so that they can arrange something for you.

I will explain things to do & benefits of staying at this resort  in my next blog but for now let’s jump into the  Lion King Suites. We choose to stay at The Lion King Suite and on our way to the suites I really felt like am in a jungle with lots of trees and larger than life Icons which are best for photo ops.

The Rooms are operated by Magic Bands which are given to each of your family member when you check-in.

The suite was HUGE with colorful tropical decor from the movie The Lion King. We were 2 Adults with one infant but it can fit upto 6 Adults . I must say all the Beds were really very comfortable. As I walk in, there’s a Living room area with a full sized sleeper sofa, chest of drawers and flat screen TV with a Kitchenette.

There are 3 Themed pools but we spent most of the time at Finding Nemo pool as it’s largest pool in Walt Disney World Resorts.

They also play one Disney movie daily under the stars . I watched Finding Nemo, Finding Dory, Frozen & Tangled.

Summary :

I am really pleased and thankful for the great hospitality and I would highly recommend this place to everyone with/without kids. The atmosphere all around the Resort was fun and Family friendly.  I really liked it because I stayed there for 6 nights and each and every day I woke up with a smile and strolling around the resort really made me feel happy. It truly adds a pinch of magic to your vacation. This is Just the Lion king Area of the Resort , There’s a lot more to share about this resort (Things to do while you are at the Resort) which I shared in my next blog.

Last but not the least, I would like to Thank the guest service of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort for Mailing my ‘Jacket’ all the way from Orlando to Los Angeles (Free of Charge), which I accidentally left in my Room.

This is awesome! Everything Disney does is so magical, and I would have loved to stay here with my kids when they were little. Honestly, I’d like to stay here with them now even though they’re adults!

Oh my!!! This place looks stunning. I’d totally love to stay here with my little one! The interiors are so adorable! I wouldn’t stop photographing near the larger than lifesize Timon & Pumbaa. Btw, even food is designed like cartoons and we get to watch movie under the stars??? Now I’m really really tempted to head here!

The themed rooms and attractions are definitely some of the best reasons to visit Disney. Staying in a Disney resort is something that I plan on doing when I visit Disneyland too. It looks like you had an amazing time out there! Great vacation idea with the kids!

I am a huge fan of Disney and I am definitely a kid at heart. I have stayed in one of the hotels apart of the LA Disney years ago but I have always wanted to go to Orlando and stay in one of the hotel resorts there. I have to admit, I love the looks of this place and I don’t have kids. I love how colorful it looks and I love all the extra things they have like watching movies under the stars. I think the Magic Bands looks like a great idea too.

I’ve always wanted to stay here. It looks like a wonderful resort. We normally stay at Port Orleans French Quarter. I love how your jacket was mailed to you without any charge. It’s one reason why I LOVE Disney.

That’s just to cute. I noticed the characters from the movie on the side of the hotel. I wonder how they do that.
