1.Central Park:

Central park is free & open to public.Many people doesn’t know that they also offer a free guided tour of this Manhattan’s Largest park.This park has everything From waterfalls to lakes & ponds, lush grassy areas perfect for picnicking,Countless Monuments, Trees, Animals, Birds, Activities,Crowd, horse drawn carriage rides, zoo,boat riding, hiking and much more,  you will have your hands full.

2.High Line :

High line is a 1.5 mile long old railroad which turned into a beautiful park in between the tall buildings.It is elevated from streets and lined with trees, gardens and benches where you can sit and enjoy the view.This place is a one kind of attraction which adds to the uniqueness of New York.

3.Times Square : 

This is a must see when you are visiting NYC. I enjoy coming here but I have to admit that this place is a huge tourist trap but it’s a great place to take pictures and enjoy the sights.

4.Roosevelt Island:

It is a beautiful narrow island which lies in between queens & Manhattan.If you are tired of Manhattan’s crowd,come here and have peace full long walks with a beautiful views.There is a red bus which brings you to this island for free(Click here to know more about Roosevelt island).

5.Apple store :

This is that famous glass cube Apple store.By far one of the best apple store’s i have ever been.Even if you are not buying anything this is still a cool place to stop and see.

6.Trump tower :

Have you ever seen a gold platted elevator?escalators?doors? if you din’t then this is that place.once you’re in,You’ll see gold everywhere.

7.Brooklyn Bridge:

It is one of the oldest suspension bridges in United states.It has become one of the iconic structures of New York.Walk or bike the bridge If you are looking for the best panoramic view of Manhattan.

8.Grand Central terminal :

Grand central terminal is the biggest railroad stations in the world.If you are a great lover of history & architecture then this the place.It is also a major subway hub that connects to Times Square and Union Square.One of its most alluring secrets is the Whispering Gallery under the Guastavino-tiled arches near the Oyster Bar. When two people stand at diagonal arches and whisper to each other, their voices ring through like an old game of telephone.

14.Queens botanical garden :

Queens Botanical Garden is a great place to relax and appreciate nature. Many of the small gardens that compose the site feature plants of particular significance to a certain world culture.It offers the chance to see diverse plant life all year round.

15. 9/11 memorial :

This is the place where the actual Twin towers were built.Now They built a pool around that place in the remembrance of people who lost their lives in 9/11 tragedy.

A 25 minute Free ferry ride to and from the city or Staten island which gives you amazing views of landmarks like statue of liberty,Ellis island , Roosevelt island and of course Manhattan skyline.

17. St. Patrick’s Cathedral :

It is New York’s one of the iconic structures,Built in 1879, the majestic architecture will just leave you in awe.It is huge with lots of history.

  8. New York City is one of my favorite places to visit!! I love all of your ideas too. I absolutely loved browsing on 5th avenue, but somehow missed the Apple store. I guess I need to make a trip back! 🙂

  9. I’ve been to NY twice, but the last time goes back nearly 7 years ago! I would love to go back and visit some of the places I haven’t seen, such as the Queens Botanical Garden and Grand Central Terminal.

  13. I don’t know why, but for some reason I had always pictured the Statue of Liberty to be MUCH bigger than it really was. I remember when I was atop the Empire State building looking down, all I could think was how tiny it was! LOL
    I guess I thought it was some giant statue taller than all of the buildings.

    (hey don’t judge me, I’ve only ever seen it in movies where everything is already bigger than life!)

  14. I’ve only been around the outskirts of Central Park, but I would like to actually take a stroll through it once. The Botanical Garden is definitely something that I would like to visit as well.
